3-day trip to the Chattooga River

Salamanders partnered with French Broad RiverKeeper Hartwell Carson and the WNC Alliance to help build one of several campsites along the French Broad River as part of the "Blue Way" project.

Students visited RiverLink for lesson#2 on the urban water cycle and the effects of snow on water quality. Students tested various water samples for pH to determine what impact salt, sand, and other chemicals have on our waterways. Salamanders wrapped up the day by visiting Children First to help prepare gifts for teachers.
