Day #1 in Costa Rica
Friday, February 12, 2010 at 8:33AM Hiking through a cloud forest, zipping through the canopy, exploring 150 foot waterfalls, and feeding toucans were just some of the activities on the first full-day in Costa Rica. In addition to acclimatization and a general introduction to some of the unique and amazing biodiversity of the country, students learned about epiphytes while exploring a volcano crater among countless other lessons. Today they will attend their host school where they will attend classes, play "futbol," learn to dance the salsa, and then spend the next two nights with their host family.
