Mission

Our mission is to build character and integrity in young men for a lifetime of learning and service. We prepare students for success in high school, college, and the increasingly competitive world beyond by combining a rigorous academic curriculum with relevant, purposeful learning experiences on the French Broad River, its surrounding watershed, and international field experiences.

We believe that a challenging, relevant, and purposeful middle school experience will prepare students for success during the high school years when many students, especially males, lose focus and motivation.

We want our students to not only succeed academically, but develop a sense of purpose, vision, and confidence so they can fulfill their true potential and, whether water-related or not, contribute to the betterment of society.

Vision

Our vision and aspiration for our students is to produce academically prepared students and global citizens, strong in their commitment to service, who will bring compassion and confidence into the classroom, the community, and their lives.

We will ultimately serve up to 72 students in grades 6 through 8.  We will add a new cohort of 12 new 6th graders each year as we grow.
